Where will the wedding be?
What should I wear?
Just wear whatever you would normally wear to a wedding! The temperature in Garden Valley in October can vary a little bit, but the average seems to be around 60 degrees, dropping to 45 degrees once the sun goes down. With that in mind, BRING A SWEATER OR JACKET!! We will have blankets available for those who get cold and a campfire going all evening. There will be a heated tent as well. The entire wedding will be outside on grass— so ladies, do not wear heels!
There’s no way I can make it out to Idaho. Does that mean I will miss all of the celebration?
No! We understand attending a wedding so far away is a huge undertaking. We greatly appreciate those who make the trip out to celebrate us, but we also completely understand why others may not be able to come. Included in everyone’s invitation is a postcard. If you are unable to attend the wedding, please write us a little note and send it on its way! Lauren’s mom will collect them as they are mailed in and give them to us to read the day before the wedding. For those who are closer to VA, we will have a reception in January 2026 in Richmond (specific date and location TBD) . During this dinner, we will watch our wedding video so that those who couldn’t make it can watch the ceremony and hear our vows. Afterwards, it will be just like any other reception. No matter which event you come to, know that we cherish each and every one of you!
What’s the closest airport? How do I get to Garden Valley from there?
The closest airport is Boise International Airport (BOI). The airport is about 1 hour and 25 minutes from the cabin. Unfortunately we are unable to arrange transportation from Boise to Garden Valley for everyone.

As all of you know, we are having a baby boy in May 2025, and he will be in attendance at the wedding. This will be a family-friendly wedding, so you may bring your children. On the RSVP page, there will be an option to select that you plan on bringing your child(ren), so that we know how many to expect.
